Sunset Blvd 1947

“Mob City” (TV 2013) A gritty 1947 period piece by director Frank Darabont, (“The Green Mile”, “The Shawshank Redemption”).
Stargate Studios was tasked with the visual effects and I was rewarded with some of the most challenging work I'd done to date. This scene required a complete digital environment to dovetail with existing footage of a character driving up to a club. We had to build a lot of period buildings, road, signage and lighting. This one took a while and I have to thank Mike Enriquez for so much of his help.
We did it. It worked. And we were nominated for an Emmy.
